Anyone have a Nintendo DS for their kids ?
on: December 04, 2008, 02:38:01 AM
I bought a supercard for a DS that allows free game downloads. Been playing with it most of the evening. I have around 100 games downloaded on an 8g card so far. These arent free trial games either these are the games you would pay $40 a piece for in the stores!!!!!

Uh. RaptorMan. Perhaps it is best not to discuss this topic as you are illegally pirating software and quite proud of it. Atleast, I don't think you should be discussing it here. :D

But yes, I do the same. :D

Just because everyone's doing it doesn't make it legal. :D

This is called a Swiss Army Knife. Do you know what Switzerland is? Switzerland is a place where they don't like to fight, so they get people to do their fighting for them while they ski and eat chocolate. - Larry David

Officially, it's called Pirating... and it's illegal.  Nintendo is usually pretty aggressive at going after anyone that pirates their stuff.

The Supercard you bought was more than likely purchased from an oversea's company that Nintendo has no ability to shut down.
If you took all the intestines out of your body and stretched them end to end... you would die.

Most DS flashcards are made in Asia but there's a couple that are made in the US.  They're mainly used for pirating but flashcard manufacturers originally intended them to be used for programming homebrew programs and games.

Ironically enough, after this flashcard craze started, Nintendo released their own flashcard.  It's limited in performance but people have been able to use it to pirate games as well.

How does that ad go?

you wouldn't steal a handbag? you wouldn't still a car? you wouldn't still a movie?

pirating is illegal.

Pirates are
A. Tres Cool and
B. get wenches.

Besides, I was copying cassettes and VHS videos long before they invented impossibly long serial numbers and digital signatures, so, and you can tell this to tha feds - cram it up your arse.

(What are they going to do? Come and take my "hot" copies of Monkey Island and Pokemon Blue? )

My crime spree aside - I don't have a DS, are they just a fancier game boy?

They're built around a dual-screen, toucpad gimmick. Top is a regular screen, bottom is touchpad. Good for interactive games. Unfortunately, the touchpad isn't really meant for serious gaming. So I own a PSP.

But most people aren't hardcore gamers anyway, so DS all around. :D

The funny thing is, you only see those ads if you actually pay for the DVD...
The difficult we do immediately, the impossible takes a little longer.
