even the safety stuff in modern cars are so lame.

They may be lame but if it wasn't for airbags I might not be here today. I was riding with my Grandpa and some jackass in the opposite lane decides he needs to turn left right in front of us. We t-boned him at about 60 MPH. I didn't have my seat belt on but the air bags deployed and I walked away without a scratch. If the car didn't have them I would have flown through the windshield. Since then I'm 100% sold on them, also now, I ALWAYS wear a seat belt.

hey i didnt mean that airbags suck or they should be left out,i only meant that puttin in a decent roll cage wouldnt be expensive.i keep wondering people pay just so huge amount of money for irrelevent hi tech gadgets in their cars,when cars main option is to transport man safely from point to point and offer good protection while doing it.ive seen,when i worked as an car mechanic,some really expensive new cars totally bashed after slipping out from the road and after rolled couple times around the filed,driver found dead etc horrible.in these cases rollcage would have safed the lifes of passengers but they find it ugly and un easy to use,and trust too much for abc brakes,side impact pouches etc.
im against the scene here where guys drive some mercedes suv´s in downtownn traffics just for fun and the only good thing in those i see,is that the size of the car offers bit better protection.but wasting the money on easy damaging 22" aluminium rims,neontubes,etc is something i dont understand;).but thats my opinion,dont mean to really offend any of you.cause i have too really useless car(1928 hudson essex coupe with buick nailhead) with big engine etc,but its in pieces,and it will never be run on daily basis.thats stupid as it gets .

I agree with Tarro to me the primary purpose of my vehicle is to transport me from A-B and in the event of a "Bab Moment" maintain enough structural integrity to keep me in one piece. For the longest time I thought that Ford was going to become one of the best automakers here in US when they aquired Volvo automobiles. It never happened, I felt, to Ford's loss.
