IR Images.
on: April 06, 2013, 01:17:01 AM
I took my IR camera out to play today. I took a few random shots at work, and then when I got home, a few random shots of MTs.

Here is my DNA model and Newtonian Cradle at work.

Some apples and oranges.

A plasma ball. Now the first shot is without any colour channel flipping. The second shot is with the red and blue colour channels flipped.

And now onto the Leathermans. The background is a black velvet cloth.

Lensbaby used on these two images. I need a lot more practice with this set up. :)

Very cool shots.
If you find yourself in a fair fight, your tactics suck.

Thanks. I am finding that IR brings out the tool details a lot better than visible spectrum.

Great pic's! Is it a dedicated camera or a DSLR with a filter on?
- Or was I too preoccupied with other thoughts, like: if toast always lands jam side down, and a cat always lands on its feet, what happens when you strap a piece of toast, jam side up, to the back of a cat?

I bought it off of eBay. It is a Canon Rebel XS or in Europe, the 1000d with an IR 720nm filter replacing the normal standard filter. So it is now dedicated to IR photography. I always wanted to get into IR, but found the screw on filters tedious and bothersome. A dedicated camera is the only way to go.

Just playing with the Lensbaby Scout and fisheye lens. I have a real good fisheye with my Pentax kit. This, my first shot with the far cheaper lensbaby version gave me surprising results. I was expecting something worse.
