Well i finally found 2 new yellow and 2 new gray KF4's and they arrived today. I am quiet happy with them. The yellow is not really yellow, its more of a light greeny colour. I think i am more impressed with the KF4 than i thought i was going to be. If you like the KF4 tool set then i would highly recommend it as the quality is very good. Ok yeah the awl could be pointier but im sure its not too hard to sharpen a little. Very tight plier head pivot which i like to see. Pity they cant make the PS4 and P4's tight like that. i think i will buy the orange juice what ever that is S4? just to test out its capabilities before ruin one of my KF4's, just so i know how much abuse they can take. Now i need to figure out how to use the diamond file. That is the fine side right?
They are rather shiny.... been toying with the sacrilegious idea of rouging my KF4 scales up. I have been carrying it quite a lot and have fallen totally back in love with it for EDC.Although the yellow has a lot of fans, I'm not really one of them!
You missed out. There was a guy selling about twenty of them for $55+shipping a few months ago and a bunch of folks here bought it. I think Sazabi still has one for sale over here. http://forum.multitool.org/index.php/topic,39214.0.html

I wish I was joking. :/
Very cool. How did you go about doing taking the scales off?
Can someone please confirm if there were KF4's with just 'Leatherman' on the plier head and no USA or TOOL?Little worried i may be buying fakes if they just have Leatherman.I weighed 2 of mine and i get 153 and 154g. LM site says 165g. Do they normally quote weights that are this far out? Or maybe its a typo?
I just lucked into a KF4 at a pawn shop here in Clackamas. Looks to be in almost unused condition aside from pocket carry wear to the scales and a bit of gunk inside. $40.
Good one. I don't know if you use electric razors, but the little black brushes that come with them are about the best thing I've found for cleaning that kind of stuff out of a tool. Compressed air works good too.
