Is it a MT? or just a great pair of Stanley vise grips? Good pic though :cheers: :D

It's just a Stanley vise grip. Looks and feel very rigid.

Is it something you are planning to carry regularly, or is it for the toolbox?

I have been checking out a lot of adjustable and locking wrenches lately, looking for something to carry with me. Stanley also has a combo adjustable locking wrench that I really want regardless.

It looks very tough and has an interesting design. How would you say it compares to regular Irwin vise grips?

I don't have an Erwin vise grip so I can't compare the two. Yes, this Stanley tool feels tough. Here is another pic for size reference

Although that sounds kinda weird.

At least the Lever looks like it works in the right direction! (Anyone who has used cheap Vice/Mole Grips will know what I mean)

I prefer the curved jaw style myself, but I'm a man of skill & finesse.

Anyway, go crush some stuff!

That's a great tool, Ed! All Stanley tools I've seen were made in China. Do they sell U.S. made Stanleys in Asia?

Vice Grips.   For when you haven't got the right tool for the job.

Yes, Gene I have seen some USA made Stanley tools here in our place. Mostly carpentry tools.

I thought your only vices were your girlfriends ::)
"Some rise by sin, and some by virtue fall;
 Some run from breaks of ice, and answer none:
 And some condemned for a fault alone." -William Shakespeare, King Lear (1608), Act IV, scene 6, line 169
