Picnic Time!
on: August 15, 2015, 11:43:42 PM
You may remember, I received a Vic Cheese Knife this past week, and was itching to put it into service. Today was the day!

Phase I - slicing the French bread:

Phase II - Slicing the sausage:

Phase III - Cut the cheese (ha!)

Phase IV - Uncork the wine:

The serving fork on the tip of the cheese blade is just the right tool for this job:

Phase IV - Time to partake!

Progress...

A date with my wife: (ha again!)

"Here's to MTo!"

Phase VI - With the wine gone, now it's plums for dessert:

Thanks for joining us! Two thumbs up for the Victorinox Cheese Knife!
-Jeremy

Nice,  I wish my kids would read by choice,  if they are not forced, they will not read.      sucks.

Nice,  I wish my kids would read by choice,  if they are not forced, they will not read.      sucks.

He got into the habit in China, where he didn't have video game or TV privileges.

Here, he is limited to 2 hours per day of screen time. This is what the research suggests is a good maximum for kids. He used to have 4 hours on weekend days and holidays, but we cut him down, much to his dismay. He'd play video games and watch TV all day if we let him.

He mixes his time between reading and Lego building now. Occasionally some physical exercise, if we push him. ;)

During the school year, he's not allowed to watch TV or play video games until all his homework is done, so some nights, it is zero.

This year, he'll be in gifted math, and we're signing him up for Chess Club, soccer, and maybe Boy Scouts. (we'll see how it goes with the other two activities)

nice,  I may have to adjust some limits around here.  I tried to show how fun reading was all of their life, but I guess they just think I am an old fuddy duddy

Looks like the knife had a great time at the picnic too.

My girls are voracious readers.  I also set limits with TV during the school week.  On fridays they could watch a couple hours and again on the weekend when chores were complete.  Good job dad  :tu:.
