School Starts Tomorrow
on: August 19, 2015, 06:07:02 AM
...yay....

I guess I won't be pocket carrying for awhile.

I really need to get a good read on my teachers before I walk around with a paracord fob at the ready.

I guess it's FINALLY time to send in my Wave. I've just been soaking it I'm PB blaster every night and wiping it down in the morning.

Anyone else here attend or work or have kids that go to school? (Any college, year, grade, etc)

My kids won't be going back to school for another three weeks, although the older one has been in football training for the passed two. But they will only be going in to 6th and 10th grade. Best of luck to you!

Funny, I was thinking that a SAK or multitool (or both!) would be very helpful in all of those fields!

Preschool started today for my oldest, she didn't really mind leaving the SAKs/LMs at home  ;)

She does, however, carry a flashlight around the house most days, and really wanted to bring that with her.  We compromised on putting it in her backpack :)

Please, please, please. Make sure he understands the importance of head safety. As someone who experienced their fair share (5+), it's no laughing matter. Even now, my reading comprehension/retention for long things like books is all but shot. Please, there is a huge attitude about being tough, that you 'just got your bell rung'. It is wrong, and any coach that disagrees is a huge threat to the safety of everyone on the team.

He's pretty good on safety, and should know better on attitude, huh huh! But the coach is pretty good, he gets in on everything and doesn't just stand there on the sideline telling them what to do! Besides he should understand head problems considering I have one, since birth not from sports.. But thanks..

X2!!! Coming from another 20 year old. Highschool does end.

Always remember; just because you see someone five times a week, they still may not be a friend.

Not to be harsh, but dang I wouldn't have cared NEARLY as much about the people around me since they all dissappear after highschool anyways.

i agree 100% on that statement. I have three close friends, and one is my grandfather, the other two I have known for ten years or better.

Great! Roads clogged with those damn buses in the morning.

I still remember as a kid in my small town carrying a pocket knife in school was standard. The teens old enough to drive had there rifles on there rifle racks in the trucks parked on school grounds and no one called the swat team on them. No way would I want to be in todays schools.

I believe I have abandoned my fear of carrying at school.

So far I've seen 6 MP600s, a Kershaw Skyline, cheap EMT blades, and 1 Learherman on a Matienence Employee.

My wife started with a all day meeting yesterday. She starts with setting up the classroom today. She's a teachers aid at an elementary school and after school tutor for a middle school. I wish I was book smart like her. I'm just good with taking apart electronics and putting them back together. (Multifunction Printers)

School officially starts this coming Monday. Now Back to the days of never seeing my wife and home cooked meals became a thing of the past.
