You've done a beautiful job of hanging that

(Image removed from quote.)

I think I need an Axe wall

 Tony. Not very happy with the handle manufacturer's ability to cut a straight kerf. I think it offset the head ever so slightly to one side, but I got it pretty straight in the end.

I'd like to see your axe wall, is your shed big enough?    :salute:

I have been trying to tidy my garage for the last couple of weeks (again?  ::) ) keep finding more of them
No free wall space in the shed or garage
I might have to mount one or two of them on my living room wall ;)

I'm oddly enough not planing anything. This might be a belated reaction to too many Halloween specials (and generally liking the occult and horror subject)

If my former fiance looked like that I would've gotten hitched. But alas she was a nightmareish creature of another kind - the kind that wants you to give up your tools, working with hands and anything outdoorsy

Yard clearing and burning my pile before fire permits or fire bans are put in place. I never go down to the back of my block in strong winds because of widow makers like this in a couple of big gum trees. Thought I'd give the newest chopper a go to buck this into a few lengths instead of one

Could still be sharper, but this is very hard seasoned timber

Still a bit of original green on the left side of the head

I like your chopping block.  ;)

Were any of those meant to be portrait? When I attach portrait phone photos here they come out as landscape despite me rotating them on the computer. What I do now is open them in something like Paint, rotate one way, then rotate back and save, seems to sort it.

That root gets a hit from the mower every now and then!

The last two should probably be in portrait, but the last one is in portrait in my phone album. Looks like Tapatalk auto rotates to landscape at least if you use the in line attachment option like I did. Maybe the original full size would me unmolested?

Fun!  :tu:

Direct square hits weren't much fun, very jarring. Once I got the angle on and started taking out chips it was much better, and the "chopping block" helped back up and stop a lot of vibration from the unsupported branch

I used to live in a house surrounded by trees including a couple of big gum trees which were quite close. One night the snow was really bad and all night we heard big branches breaking off all around, hoping none would go through the roof.  :ahhh
