Yesterdays thrift store hunt didn't result in any SAKs.
I was about to head home utterly disappointed when I found this al dusty stashed in a corner.
A syphon coffee maker! I was over the moon!

Handyman and Hario TCA-3

It draws an amazing cup of coffee and it's very relaxing to do in the morning!

EDIT: One more pic, just for the fun of it:

Cool find! Never heard of these!

I knew they existed, but never got one because they are quite expensive. And to be honest it looked a bit gimmicky to me.
But when I saw it standing on a shelf I had to have it.

After a good cleanup and inspection it looked like everything was there and working. So I decided to give it a go.
It's amazing, it has a very well rounded flavour and produces very clean coffee, no grounds floating around.
Although it might seem like a hassle to make coffee this way it's actually quite easy. But it's not the fastest way.
I made a video, it's edited so it's shorter than the actual brew,

A lazy Sunday morning.
I'm all out of ground coffee so I have to resort to Nespresso and not even real Nespresso at that.
It's okay and the fact that it's accompanied by perhaps one of Hollands best stroopwafels (caramelwaffel) makes it more than tolerable.

I'm watching the clock on the Traveller to see when I can plug in my internet again. The last couple of weeks the connection would get lost until we took the power of the router/modem for half an hour. I have suspicions that half an hour of inactivity resets something on the providers side of the network instead of here at home.

A slight nuisance on this rainy Sunday morning. I like the rain. I have the sliding door wide open and let the sound and smell in.

In a moment my girlfriend will be here and we will have a lovely breakfast.

I'm jealous! No, not of the girlfriend. I mean the Stroopwafels.  :D We get them imported here. And they are great with coffee. But my Mother used to tell me about smelling them being made fresh all the way from a shop on her street. She said eating them while they were still warm was the best.
