I usually just drink black coffee, bust sometimes do like a dirty chai.  Instead of mixing with water, I mix it with coffee to give a stronger coffee flavor.

It is pretty good for what it is (instant).  Mixed with coffee instead of water it was better imo.   I want to find a good Chai mix or make one for at home and dirty chai.

I've made Masala Chai tea....good stuff....and it had a wee bit of salt, along with pepper, clove, ginger, cinnamon, and cardamom. The pepper is crucial for a good chai flavor. Doesn't taste right without it!  :tu:

Thanks.  Making my own is what I have been considering.  The second link is closer to what I’ve seen, but I have heard to add pepper.

Took a few moments to grind up me spices (cloves, cardamon, pepper, cinnamon, and ginger) with a little raw sugar (helps to get everything ground up evenly).





In a small pan, brewed up tea with milk, pinch of salt, and a bit more sugar. Added spices and simmered for a couple minutes.

Added coffee and Masala Chai in the usual mug. 






It was great!

Took a few moments to grind up me spices (cloves, cardamon, pepper, cinnamon, and ginger) with a little raw sugar (helps to get everything ground up evenly).

In a small pan, brewed up tea with milk, pinch of salt, and a bit more sugar. Added spices and simmered for a couple minutes.

Added coffee and Masala Chai in the usual mug.

Not exactly. 

In a pot, I brewed tea in water, then added milk (a goodly amount) & sugar (just a little), then added the spices. Then simmered that for a few minutes. So this is tea + spices + milk (Masala Chai).

Mrs Nix enjoyed a big mug of that. (I had a sip, too.)

I made myself a "Dirty Chai Latte" by mixing some coffee with the remaining Chai in my own mug.  It were tasty!   :tu:
