Cheers, I’ve not had an iced coffee in years  I’ll have to try one again when the weather gets nice here.

Mrs. R got it for me last year.  It's good, but I miss my single cup French press, which cracked on me earlier this year.  I haven't gotten around to picking up another one yet.

Might be time for a metal French Press.  They make all varieties now in both insulated and single wall that can also work over a fire.   I love my titanium one.  It is the perfect piece of gear if you do any type of camping and love coffee

Being a Ti fan I love my Ti camping gear too and my Snow Peak coffee press when out on a hike! Not been able to find their creamer though as Snow Peak stuff can be hard to find in the UK at least. If I want to go light then I use a Ti thermos flask - had to get that from Japan as it wasn’t made available elsewhere for some reason…. :dunno: Love the look of your press Sherry, mine can only do one cup at a time!

Thanks.  This one is a 750ml and they also have a 900ml.   I also am a fan of Ti.  My Ti Firebox Nano and this coffee press make an excellent combo.

I understand the difficulty in getting certain items.  We can usually getSnow Peak, but I really like the Evernew  and that can be difficult to get here.

I boiled water for instant coffee on a twig stove this Saturday and Sunday... Forgot to snap any pictures.   I used the saw on the one handed Trekker to cut the twigs and branches to size

The stove I have is a wood gas stove and it seems to work best when all the wood is cut below the level of the openings in the rim of the stove.

SOS24... Do you do anything in particular to avoid soot collecting on the pot or cup. I haven't, since I use old stuff... But knowing me, I'll be annoyed if and when I get a new pot and proceed to get soot everywhere

A little dish soap on the outside will help decrease soot build up or make it easier to clean off, but don’t get too close to top.  When I first get new pots, I will sometimes soak it in soapy water.  After that  I just clean the outside with a little white vinegar on a scrub pad when it starts getting too bad.

I was doing a little experimenting today and discovered the Bestargot (maker of above French Press) French Press internal mechanism works in a Toaks 650ml cup/pot.  I know the 550/650/750 titanium pot diameter from are the same with a variety of different manufacturers.  I also checked the Bestargot website and they sell the internal mechanism separately.  So if you already have a titanium cup/pot, you may be able to use it as a French Press if desired.
