Am I going crazy because I think they take wear fairly well. I mean if that's a picture of your alox after a year I would say it looks damn good.
The older ALOX wore better IMO.....the newer ones wear quicker. I have a Pioneer I bought in '83 that was carried almost daily for about 20 years and it looks like some newer examples (viewed in forums) that folks have had for 2-4 years. Lots of variables come into play like actual use and things carried in the pocket with the knife. Mine was used a lot but was carried in a watch pocket so it didn't rub on coins/keys.Here's mine...(Image removed from quote.)

Pulled it out of my showcase, used it and was sold......it was in my truck toolbox out in West Texas when all my other SAKs met their demise at the farm.
