Well, as long as we're looking for problems, I've wondered how common it is for Swisstools or Spirits to have locks that can slip under pressure. I feel like I remember hearing one or two complaints about that somewhere.

Yes there was a problem with the Spirit when using the awl as an ice pick . The constant stabbing made the lock jump and the awl close . I think thats right

The Swisstool came in very handy yesterday, helped a friend remove a shed from her garden. Turns out it wasn't an easy job!! (4 trips to the tip with a fully loaded Picasso just with wood :o ) But the Swisstool dealt with philips and flat head screws, a bit of light sawing (in places not accessible by the big wood saw) and cutting off football goals netting with the serrated blade! Could another tool have managed? Yes, but i felt completely confident in the Swisstool not sure i would have done with another tool :)
Life is like a sandwich...the older it gets the crustier it becomes!
