Could someone clue me in to the value of this knife, in very good condition w/ original box? Either post or PM.

Suisse with the crossbow behind it on the shield

Thanks

Your photos of your actual knife, not some you found on the google images. ;)

Condition means a lot in this cases.

All tools in great shape, original edges, leaving the patina on there now. Scales are very good, little scratch on one. Box is in as good as shape as the museum subject.

Sorry, I can't offer anything useful other than if it was mine it would go straight in the pocket to live the useful life it has so far been denied.

I do appreciate that doesn't help you in the slightest  :-\

I haven't been following the prices for those in some time but I'd guess around $60-70 depending on the condition of all the tools and backsprings. But I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong. ;)

Are the backsprings intact?

That would have been a state of the art tool back then using advanced metals. Very cool!

A wide range of prices and not a whole lot of help, besides a few PMs asking me to sell it. Can someone at least suggest a member for me to contact with expertise?

Thanks

Standard disclaimer - I don't really know squat about Wenger knives. Don't collect them, don't really track them, don't even know the names of the models. So use that for some perspective.

That said, I did sell a knife very similar to this one that was basically brand new but had no box. It sold for $140.
Another seller on eBay sold this same knife, NIB, for $165: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Wenger-93mm-Swiss-Army-Officer-Knife-Exposed-Rivets-w-Box-1950s-/251288880339. Pictures are gone but it's basically a Wenger version of the Vicotrinox Huntsman.
Here's an auction that recently ended that looks like yours. Sold for $224: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Rare-Vintage-Wengerinox-Wenger-Swiss-Army-Knife-Suisse-Excl-Cond-with-Box-/262069612215?nma=true&si=hsfQH8mFuBV11epN83J4lcaFlEM%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557.

To the right buyer I'd say it's worth $175 -$200. However, the market size of people who pay that much money for old SAKs is very small, and most of them want Victorinox, not Wenger, so it may take a bit to find a buyer.
