Sent from a device made from star dust using tapatalkI never had to do it to mine, but the place I bought mine from also sold a cream to use, you basicly use a brush to clean it off then do what I just did to the hat, I still have the stuff. That's why I was debating on using that or saddle soap, but the hats leather so I wasn't sure if it would work?JR

Congrats on the quick receipt. I look forward to the pics Yesterday I ordered a tin of dressing and a cheapo £20 Barbour "style" jacket off the bay. If I take to the cheapo, I might indulge in something more expensive further down the line. The dressing if to have a go at treating the cotton jacket I mentioned earlier in the thread
