Today they cancelled the work Christmas party. Expecting official announcement tomorrow by Macron. Hopefully still make it to Spain for the break.

Day 2 and already I'm stumped.  Something Nabo?  Cloud City?  Nope, I had to go look it up.  See if you can work it out without looking up the answer.  Not a bad wee build though, just very obscure.

Day 4 sees our Stormtrooper get a big jump in firepower, with a E-Web Heavy repeating blaster (the bane of Drop Troopers and Cantinas everywhere). I have to say that I think the stud shooter rather spoils the look of the thing and it's better left off.

I put 4 antenna feet... they provided... the directions image is unclear...

I know what you mean.  I think it's supposed to be a tripod but the image really only shows two legs, so it's definitely a bit of a guess.

Day 6.  A good step up from yesterdays targets.  Imperial Troop Transporter.  If I'm getting my Star Wars lore correct this was added to the Mandalorian based on an old 1980s toy that had never actually appeared in the original trilogy.  Nice wee model but I think might have been better with three of the "doors" down each side. (though that would also mean a different construction so might not have been practical)

OK, cards on table, I got this one wrong.  I had ID'd it as being the landspeeder taxi that Mando takes back to the Razor Crest in the very first episode.  However, on checking, it turns out it's Mythrol's (quite similar looking) landspeeder that comes to an equally sticky end.

It's funny you should mention the landspeeder at the beginning of the Mandalorian.  I have to say, that is one of the things that absolutely hooked me on the series.

Brian Posehn, who played the driver is a great comedian, an absolutely huge nerd and metal head.  I remember seeing him and thinking "this must be a dream come true for a guy like him!"

While he was never seen again, he at least has some serious nerd cred for having actually had a speaking part in Star Wars!   :tu:

As for the rest, I'm loving watching these being revealed every day!  It gives me something to look forward to at work!

Day 9.  So what exotic Tatooine location is this?  Jaba's Palace?  Speeder race course?  Mos Eisley?  Raider Camp?  Oh, it's a plie if rocks with a Gaffi Stick.  ::)  The SW advent calendar always includes a "weapon rack" of some kind, but this one is particularly uninspiring.

So they're called "stud shooters".  Stick a stud on the shooter and press down on the grey lever.  Stud will then ping off, utterly miss what you were "aiming" at and you'll then spend 5 minutes on your hands and knees trying to find the missing stud.  ::) (which is still better than the idea of finding Lego with your bare foot)
