Day 11.  If I've been a bit "meh" about some of the last builds then this one makes up for it in spades.  An excellent X-Wing.  If I'm being fussy then I'd say I prefer the more pointed nose we got last year rather than the slope piece, but the blue stud for the R2 unit is better than the white.  This year shown vs last year.

So they're called "stud shooters".  Stick a stud on the shooter and press down on the grey lever.  Stud will then ping off, utterly miss what you were "aiming" at and you'll then spend 5 minutes on your hands and knees trying to find the missing stud.  ::) (which is still better than the idea of finding Lego with your bare foot)

(Image removed from quote.)

That sounds like the most accurate description of a Lego gun ever!

Day 12 (half way there!) and we get a good old TIE-Fighter.  Not the most complicated build we've had, but very effective non-the-less.

Having built yesterdays and todays kits both today the tie is a bit of a letdown vs the xwing. Could have used a trans red/yellow stud for the engine exhaust

Would be neat if every day had some spare bits that eventually allowed you to build an extra item on the 25th

That being said, and on the ballista topic, this goes well:

The difficult we do immediately, the impossible takes a little longer.

The TIE definitely pales compared to the X-wing.

That Krayt dragon is awesome though.  8)

Day 13.  The Imps get some back up.  I've always loved the look of the Scout Trooper armour ever since I first saw it in the cinema back in the early 80's.

The scout trooper was absolutely the coolest armor!

Although I often wondered what good a scout with very limited peripheral vision was, but hey, they definitely looked cool!

Day 14 and a second weapon's rack.  At first I thought that maybe it was supposed to look like a fireplace but, no, just a bit of grey wall.  The good news is that it can only go uphill from here.  :D

Day 15.  From a grey wall to a Speeder Bike!  Not just a Speeder Bike, but one that is usable by a Mini-Fig.  :ahhh  Not sure we've had a vehicle build in a Calendar that was figure usable before.

Day 16.  A lava barge (I think).  If I'm right then I love the little astromech but the boat bit feels off.

(edit- yes, I'm right in the ID, but apparently they call it a Keelboat.  It's not how I'd have built it.  :-\ )

I was wrong (and so was my reference guy; Jay's Brick Blog).  Not a keelboat, but the sled that Mando uses for cover after rescuing Grogu.

Makes much more sense now.  :D

Day 17.  Awesome build today.  No mistaking Moff Gideon's Imperial Light Cruiser. 8)  Surprisingly tricky thing to get right from the single diagram but I think we got it right in the end*

*(or not.  I think I missed some studs off from the engine exhausts).

Yeah, no kidding! More than a bit challenging to convey the instructions in a single picture.  All-in-all I think this has been my favourite build of the year so far.

Sometimes I wonder who deserves more credit- the people that design the models or the people that design the instructions!   :ahhh

I definitely had to consult the diagram several times on that one, I made the same mistake on the exhausts but realized before I finished completely.

I don't get the logic on why some items get loads of extra bits and others are exact only (typically the ones with least parts).

Found some extra bits the other day not in the package but inside the window. Nothing overly exciting... The stud launcher trigger and the barrel of the gun... Maybe from the actual item, I am stuffing each item back in the window after the build

It's the fact that everyone gets the same extra bits and that they don't make anything that always puzzled me.

Day 18.  Yet another Imp!  The baddies are coming thick and fast this year.  So, it's an interrogation droid.  A lot better known for it's appearance in "A New Hope" when Leia is being questioned on the Death Star.  However Mando does shoot one when reclaiming the child after reneging on his bounty.  It's...OK, I guess, but so very simple after yesterday's Light Cruiser.   :dunno:

I agree.  It does want to come apart too easily.  Not that it matters to me, but might be a little disappointing to a kid who wants to play with it.

That's the one!

I love Robot Chicken.  I belong to a GI Joe collectors group on FB (I'm not a collector, I just enjoy the nostalgia!) and I usually take any excuse to post the video of Trouser Snake/Fumbles/ Dr Killshot.

Back to topic, the Slave 1 looks awesome!
