Day one of Advent and that means 24 bits of random Star Wars Lego to build with my daughter.  Kicking off with a cool little X-Wing. 8)

Advent calendars are a neat concept, that's for sure. A Technic advent calendar would be amazing!

I agree.  Technic maybe isn't the greatest for these micro models, but a few parts a day to put together for a bigger build would be cool I think.

While we're on a Christmas theme, at the moment,  my wife picked up the Lego Nutcracker kit.
It'll take some small nuts... 😳

My wife loves a festive nutcracker.  Great set that she might enjoy building.

Day 4 and we've jumped away from the original trilogy and in to the prequels with this Battle Droid.  Meh, these always feel like padding to me.

I caved the other day at the supermarket as they marked down from 30+ euros to 24, and had an additional 25% cashback so... 18...

Day 5 and definitely still no guessing needed on my part.  A clear and well modelled AT-AT.  ("at, at" or "a,t,a,t"?)

Day six and we've got another classic Rebel fighter; the Y-Wing.  Long been one of my favourite Star Wars craft.  Makes the prequel Battle Droid feel even more out of place IMO.

I was really wanting a Yukon Cornelius kit from the brickcraft series, but they were sold out everywhere. The wife bought me a Santa's sleigh ride Lego set as a consolation prize.

Day 7 and we have the first thing I could not even begin to identify.  Some kind of hover sled?  A Droid drinks trolly?  Nope.

Having found out what it is I don't feel bad for not recognising it.  :D

My first thought was: some sort of bizarre traffic light.

Oops, I forgot yesterday.   :-[

Day 8 first and a natty little rendition of Jabba's Barge.  If I can find it the (admittedly poor) Sarlac Pit from a couple of years ago would pair well with this.

Day 10.

A minifig of Asoka Tano.  From the outfit I'd say this is mature Asoka from the live action TV show.

Day 11.

A Republic era Cruiser (I had to look up the name "Venator").  I'm a fan of the micro craft builds and this year we've had some absolutely fantastic ones.

Day 12.

Some kind of Imperial Shuttle I knew for sure but had to look up the name Theta Class.  Transport for the Emperor himself.  I tend to try and cobble together a stand of some kind for the ships as I think they look way better in "flight" than they do parked.

Day 13.

Another great little build.  A second shuttle, this one is now very well known from the recent live action Asoka TV show.  A T-6 shuttle apparently.  I have to say that this year has been great for the lack of the "weapon racks" and random scenery.  Just the "minikit" and the Battle Droid have been boring IMO.

Question about the calendars.
After they're all opened, do they combine into a better ship or something?

That'd be nice.  Sadly not though (other than your imagination of course).  They're all made with some very clever use of pretty small bricks, but substantial builds require at least some bigger pieces.

I’m a little late but is anyone else getting flashbacks to the Atari 2600 Empire Strikes Back game from Leia’s sweater?

Luv it!  and I might steal it too because I made a similar micro MF for my (unbuilt) UCS Imperial Star Destroyer

I just built this small section to test my micro Falcon:

I'm not hugely into Star Wars, but I am enjoying the daily updates to this thread courtesy of Gareth. Tomorrow is going to be a Lego building day for me, and I have plans to buy myself a vintage set for Christmas.

Cheers all.  As ever I'm running a day late.

Yesterday brought us another micro build.  I must admit I first thought this was the Pirate Snub Fighter, but apparently it's supposed to be the Mandalorian Fang.  Sorry to say I'm disappointed if that is the case.
