I know this is asking too much, but does the visor flip up?

it looks like it should, but no.

It was asking too much wasn't it  ::)

Great minifig though.

My current fave is Snufkin - He has a bag, belt knife, axe and staff, plus olde worlde clothing.

Love what you came up with using those parts mags :tu:

My castle-era minifig bitsbox is big enough that I can help out if anyone needs a few speSmurfpillst items here and there. My lego collection weighs hundreds of pounds all in all.
I'll do a castle minifig show and tell at some point.

I keep almost all of it in a barn. I have a few hundred castle minifigs and some odds and ends in our tiny flat. If we ever buy a house a lego studio is high on my wish list.

I have (most of) the yellow castle that is featured in the anniversary minikit, and one of my space ships is a variant of the featured one as well, so at least half of it is familiar

AHHHH  :ahhh I already posted this in another Lego related thread.

It is the the 40th birthday of the Lego Minifig, based apon the first issuance of a patent- in this case Denmark.

I'd wish mine happy birthday, but they left a note on the hatch to their quarters (lid of the toolbox) about going to deal with an outbreak of Yet Another Damn Snake Cult. YADSC interventions are what they've been training for for years as RPG props.

D&D??   I've been wondering about using minifigs as mini's for my kids D&D campaign.

D&D??   I've been wondering about using minifigs as mini's for my kids D&D campaign.

D&D/Pathfinder, Shadowrun, all of the above if you use a map.

One thing I find works well is picking up a larger baseplate. Print on adhesive paper what the map scale will be- 1" hex, 20mm hex, 1" square, et al- and put it on the bottom of the baseplate. Then take a coping saw and cut out little figure stands. You can buy 1" hex from a couple of sources, for a buck a piece. I base a baseplate for $8, add some paper and sandpaper I already have, and some sweat.... Tada! One, they work easier on the map, and two, they don't fall over.

And if you think minifigs are pricey, check out the accessories. If you're looking for just figures, I'd suggest Bricklink and go looking through who has what for sale. But if you want to kit them up, sure, sure, Lego has a lot of stuff. But... Brick Warriors. Brick Arms. Brick Forge. Cape Mania. About twenty dozen or so custom printers of minifigs. Plus what you build your yourself. My guys field everything from rocks and pointy sticks to swords and bows to flamethrowers and rifles to vibroblades and masers in the 50MW range. Then you start adding horses and hounds and small boats and motorcycles and speederbikes and starfighters.......

That sounds awesome!   A couple years back, when I first started this thread, I collected minifigs.  I've since sold all but a few off to fund my Magic the Gathering Hobby(both hobbies are incredibly expensive).

I used a paper map with a simple grid on it and some minifigs for the first one shot I ran for my kids, but now we're in the middle of the D&D starter campaign, "Lost Mine of Phandelver".  My son is nagging me constantly for maps and mini's, so I will have to check out getting him his own set up from bricklink I guess.
