Had the salt 1 and I got to say I hated the thing. It had the blade retention of a tuna sandwich. I actually never owned a knife that was so difficult to keep sharp as the salt. So I ditched it and never looked back. Now my wet knife is just my Native with the Ti clip off the salt.

Sounds odd that as mine has been OK.  It's apparently comparable to AUS 8 in edge retention.

H1 work hardens as well.  SO the more it's sharpened the better.

Yah well mine just never took. Shame too. I liked the slimness of it it really disapeared in my pocket.
