This Camillus TL-29 came yesterday. The tang stamp indicates 1960-1976 time frame.

Got myself a SOG Fatcat. My luck was at its peak when I paid half the current market price for it. Also luck out with a discontinued Al Mar folder. It is a "Back Up II Serrated #3802" model. First Al Mar knife, really dig the slim design, only wish it were a PE blade. Anyway, I did not think the Fatcat would be this humongous. I knew it would be longer than a Tomcat, but the larger handle and wider blade make it look so much bigger. It is quite light for the size. Pic of the Fatcat, Al Mar, in comparison with a LT Wave.

Just got my new Lionsteel Kur

Such a smooth flipper and feels substantially well made. Seems like it could take a beating like my Cold Steel Mini Recon.

Thank you Dean!!! Got a couple Ulsters Barlows underway a #10 and a #11. The main blade on the 11 has been ............ thought a little tlc might give it some more use provided the springs are still in good shape. We'll find out when it gets here.     :)

Thanks! I got interested in it after reading about the KUR Metamorphosis version. The G10 scales react to heat and change color:

Pretty cool idea. But you can barely find the KUR Metamorphosis online, and pretty much only at MSRP. So went with the green from GPKnives.

I will say this knife has a very good grip for right handed users because of the extra finger purchase one can get with the cut in on the left side. But in my left hand, that cut in works against the grip. Not sure left handed users would like it.

It's in pretty good shape.  Most of the WWII and before TL-29 (electrician or radio) type knives I see are in awful shape, with really wore blades.  That one looks great!

Thank you Cody. The old electrician type knives sure seem to have been used and abused. As Dean has said before they were the workhorse of their day

Not sure what this Camillus model is. To me it is a small rope knife. I cant seem to find any info on it any where. Not even in the old catalogs at the Collectors of Camillus site. It only has a a 2 1/2" blade.

Looks like a rope/navy/maritime knife but I think it's the one in the lower right corner. A smaller variation of the electricians knife, from the 1978 Camillus catalog..

I didnt know about this knife till Cody talked about it so I went looking for one.I found one at a decent price and it was suppose to have the Revere Stainless ground off. I guess someone forgot to grind this one. This knife is a hand full with very strong springs. Half stop on the main blade. Very  8) knife.
