Thanks all. It was both simple are difficult. The blade has a stick tang. So I shaped the brass to fit the blade, the took squares of birch and punched a hole in each one. Every layer of birch you rotate 90 deg. Then at the end you add the end cap and then pean. Then basically sand to shape. I added wax to the handle.

It's takes way more time than I guessed. Every bit of birch needed to be cleaned first and holes punched. The assembly took time, then clamp tight before pean.

Sheath maybe this weekend, depending on the day.

My Cold Steel Scout landed-today!  It was all-that I imagined it would-be.  Basically, this model is a knock-around version of the higher-end 4 Max.  Out-of-the-box, it was razor-sharp, and had perfect function/fit.  The "Scout" has the same footprint as it's larger progenitor.  After the cursory inspection, I set-it-up for my orientation, added an obligatory lanyard, and oiled the pivot, and blade. :D  This one rocks guys, and if your into Cold Steel knives, it should be in your stable.  8)

I have a rare Camillus #10 Barlow on the way. I wasn't going to buy anything for a while but I couldn't let this one get away as I've been looking for one for years. Got it for a great price as well  :tu:

Kasaya marking knife. It's so slim that if I smoked I could slip it in a pack of fags. The chisel grind is super easy to sharpen.
