Buck 285 Bantam BLW and Boker Tree Brand Solingen 280 Whittler.  Both were purchased locally today. I'm cutting back on eBay and PayPal, and trying to focus my collection more on local additions.

I was in a hurry (as I had to meet my folks who were waiting on a prescription next door, which the knife store started out inside of before splitting off into its own store about a decade ago when it moved into an adjoining store); and didn't notice that the clerk had grabbed the 285 instead of the smaller 284 I'd asked for. I like to keep inexpensive quality knives that aren't made in China around as gifts, and the sub-$20 Buck Bantam family fits this need perfectly.

The Boker has some carbon spots, but is like-new. Guessing it's pre "Tree Brand Classic" era, which likely means it's from the '70s. Only gave $30 for it. I'd actually seen it online yesterday, and had them set it aside for me. Like any German Boker, it is a very well-put-together knife with tight tolerances.

A cheap wood handled knife, with ball bearings, so it flips open brilliantly.

Various models available under the "M390" model name (the steel they use is not that, but it cuts well and keeps an edge)

reasonably large

Just picked-up a SOG SEAL XR folder.  I haven't purchased any SOG's in a very long time.  Until this one came-out a few years back:

"Those who do evil to others:  the killers, the rapists, psychos, sadists.  Will come to know me well.  Frank Castle is dead!  Call me . . . The Punisher."

"Out of the night comes a man who saves lives at the risk of his own:
Once a circus performer, an aerialist who refused the net...
Once a cat burglar, a master among jewel thieves...
And now, a professional bodyguard - primitive, savage, in love with danger."  - T.H.E CAT

Heinnie Haynes have produced a few knives for their 25th anniversay. My intention was to get the one with scissors, as I'd actually use it regularly, but of course when the option was there to add all four to my basket...

From L-R, the Lansdowne, Windmill, Atlantic and Vale.

I saw these and like you was tempted by the scissors.
If they'd only made the blade OHO I'd have been all over it

They don't like it up 'em!
