Hey guys,

I have lost/broken the tool clip on my signal, the one that holds the tool closed when Im not using it.
Is this a service part I can buy?

Leatherman doesn't sell parts.  You can take advantage of the warranty or try and make the part?  I'd send in so they can get you sorted out properly.

Hey guys, Question. About to modify my signal to add scissors, but also want to add a scalpel. Has anyone tried purchasing the Countycomm scalpel and disassembling with intent to add it to your signal?  Thoughts? https://countycomm.com/products/carbon-fiber-folding-craft-scalpel-knife

G'Day,

Where do you want to fit the scissors? A Wave one inside does need a bit of work, have a look at this post I made: https://forum.multitool.org/index.php/topic,63314.msg1465118.html#msg1465118 You need to move the inside tools around to make it fit. There is a small metal tab that may foul the inside tools if you juggle them around. I include a pic with a red circle. If you move the bit driver towards the awl (by removing the can opener), that small bit will stop the bit extender from closing properly. It may need to be filed / dremmeled down if you want to keep the scissors and bit extender as tools. You will need to remove the can opener then.

There are other members that has fitted Wingman and Sak scissors on the OUTSIDE. Have a look in the Mod Squad, there are a few threads there explaining what they did. You can replace the OEM blade with a Wave blade that will give you a PE blade. I cannot comment on the scalpel mod.

Cheers, Pete

Thanks for the info and the welcome. I bought a pair of scissors from a sidekick I hope to replace the saw with the scissors since i don't need the saw.

And I saw that scalpel mentioned above and thought, hey, maybe I can mod that to fit. Will Probably just buy it and take it apart and see. And if it doesn't work, I will still have it and can throw it in a pocket if needed.

My new-to-me LM Signal surrounded by a Charge+ TTi and a Wave+

I'm thinking of getting yellow whistle+ferro and diamond file, and dye them orange, that would look cool on the coyote/tan color... I've read the ferro can be "poped" out, but I feel I'll break it  ???

The ferro rod pops out with a little help of a small flat head screw driver, start one side and work your way across. The ferro rod does not like dye or the hot mixture, I found out the hard way, remove before dyeing.

Cheers, Pete

The more I play with that tool, the more I like it
Give me a 154CM/S30V blade and it would be perfect
