on: August 22, 2008, 04:12:09 PM
For you, which is more handsome and appealing.

the Tk10 with the tactical grip and black rubber boot? or..

with an orange ring and an orange rubber boot?

Tactical grip and black switch boot.

I like the tactical grip because I frequently use a "cigar" hold, and the black rubber boots just have a low-key higher quality look to them to me than colored or GITD ones.  Also, I like the anti-roll advantage of the tactical grip.

Same with me,NS! May I ask, what is this orange ring for? Could have been better if it's an orange tactical grip.

Gene, I like more the rugedly handsome look of the TK10 with the anti-roll ring and black boot.

Did you remove first the tailcap o-ring when you changed the ring?

I used the cap of the Bic ballpen, exactly what you told me to do,Edi,  in removing the  O ring. It went out smoothly without any damage or scratches!

The advantage of the 2nd set up is that the TK10 will fit in easily into its original pouch.

It's just an option for people who don't want the tactical ring on there.  It would be easier to pull out of a pocket without snagging with the orange ring.

keep it total pitch black since the gold and orange dont match at all IMO,or keep just the orange with black, leave the gold out. :D

The all black is definitely the sexier of the two but I would at least need the the orange button so I could find it in the dark :D

Gene, if you don't want to install the clip I suggest you put in the 2 screws in the the screw holes of your TK10 to prevent dirt and moisture going inside those holes. Don't overtighten.

Jock, I haven't tried using the issue pouch. For me the TK10 is too big for belt carry. Whenever I EDC my TK10 I use my beltbag and put inside all my EDC including cell phones and MT, SAK.
