Yeah, but I would have preferred not to.  >:(

Right when I mounted up on my bike and was leaving class on one side of campus to head to the other side of campus for the next class my chain popped off and wedged itself between the frame and the gears. This has happened once before and it required a long punch and a hammer to get the chain freed. Being that I had neither one of this things I ended up using the pliers on my KickMod to twist, pry and eventually pull the chain free. All while a stream of very attractive college ladies strolled by on the way to their next class.

After getting it all squared away I used some of the alcohol pads I keep in my wallet to help remove the grime from my fingers. It didn't help very much though, looks like I got in a fight with an ink bottle and lost. Bright side was that I avoided a 30 minute walk so I suppose it worked out okay.

Got a good point there Jock- perhaps the modern equivalent should be "Change the batteries in a kid's toys and get peace for an hour.  Teach him to change his own batteries and get peace for life!"  :D

Used both of my flashlights - the 2AA one on my way to work, the microlight - on my way back. Boy, Vic sure does make them bright! Used the Camper to scare off small animals.

Did I mention there's a jackal-and-boar-infested stretch of woods between me and my workplace?

That's a switch. Most people have to go to work before they encounter jackals.I guess your workday is a piece of cake compared to the commute.

There's a big forest between me & work too, but the dead bodies suggest we as Man (with car) are winning the war.

I've yet to do anything useful with my tools today.

But I'm about to service my zippo, I can use my SAK to take out the screw, cut the wick, & open the damned fluid spout.

Had a campfire/cook-out last night, so I had plenty of chances... Zippo started the fire, Juice S2 made some roasting sticks and opened some packages, Photon Freedom used throughout. I guess it pays to carry all this stuff around, at least for such occasions. :)

Scraper blade on Spirit to remove tape residue from temp. plate on car (two years ago).

Pioneer blade to turn on box fan after son broke knob off.

Son borrowed "clipped" OH Sentinal for work because he forgot his knife at home. (he is going thru retraining this weekend).

Use SAKs so often really don't even notice it anymore.

Son broke off the knob on the box fan, so I took a two liter cap and my Pioneer awl and drill a hole and now I have a knob again.

I use my EDC's all the time, I couldn't keep count, or if I did, it would be a long list.
Fan of the Leatherman mini-bit driver and the Vic backspring philips.

Spoon, you may want to adjust the low stop on your front deraileur a bit tighter.

Mount Carmel, Israel.

Haven't really checked hunting regulations... I suppose I could claim self-defense, as these things are bloody huge.

From what I have seen on tv that is a beautiful part of the world If you decide to hunt the boar don't mess about I have read of some horrible injuries inflicted by "dead "boars

Does taking it out of your pocket, admiring it while playing with the blades then sighing thinking about the quality, usefullness and good looks, count as using it?

If so then I "use" mine quite often. :D
