I've been carrying everything in a Maxpedition Thermite Versipak for the last month or so:

And despite the funny looks and my own initial discomfort at the idea of a bloke carrying a hand-bag, I think I will continue to do so!

Quality-wise - the bag is top notch, and for me it's probably about the right compromise between capacity and practicality.

Yeah - pretty pleased with it!

drool emoticons,loads of those placed here-> :D

i dont mind people sayin its too army-style,let them carry what they want and ill carry my molle gear proudly.atleast that max wont fail propably ever in peace-time use.

It's really hard to fault Maxpat gear :)

Glad your liking yours mate :), do you really get funny looks though ???, man bag's, if not common, are pretty much accepted down south :)

Where I live, men who wear shoes are considered to be a bit "soft" :D

I also picked up a M-5 waistpack:

I stuff all my work-specific stuff in there and attach it to the Versipak's shoulder strap for work. My true "EDC" lives in the main bag, so I can dump the work stuff easily come the weekend. It's working well for me at the moment.

I used to come here a lot.

In the main compartment, there's no divider, but there are two pockets one at the front, one at the back. The material used for the pockets is very light, so if you choose not to use them, you don't lose any space in there.

The front pocket is amazingly well though out. It expands to almost the depth of the main compartment and has elastic to tension it. It too has the "light" front and back inner pockets. The flap that covers it is secured by the mother of all velcro, and a sturdy enough plastic quick-release clip. It has a belt (or in my case versipak shoulder strap) loop, and if course is molle compatible.

I think it's brilliant :D

What were you thinking of using it for?

I used to come here a lot.

to put a small kit havin a firesteel, small first aid kit, flashlight, spok, etc to it and wear it on my outdoors riggers belt along the Magnum Chopperw w/core in molle sheath.i really love molle stuff,i olny have few sheaths, and one backpack taht is way too big at summer,as i broke my taiwanese copy of one maxpedition backpacks, and one drop leg pouch that is straight wellmade copy too(copies are usually so much cheaper than genuine maxpedition here is).and the fact taht i can build my own pouch setup to my big molle rucksaks webbing,is something i love too.

its a shame that used maxpeditions arent seen at anywhere ,atleast here.here its alla bout neon-colour fannypacks, and i really dont like those multibrightcolour pouches and backpacks :D

I reckon you'd get your stuff in the M-5 easily mate. I got mine from a US ebay seller - I wouldn't dream of paying UK prices! The M-5 was about $30 (£15) including shipping. It got here in less than a week too. Is that cheaper than you can get them in Finland?

I've had two Thermites- they are probably my favorite bag, but a little larger than I really needed.  No sooner do I sell them off than I start to miss them and contemplate getting a new one!

I have to say though, I am really digging the Pock-Its XL sheath.  I'll be posting a review of it on SOSAKOnline tomorrow, but I don't mind letting it slip that I'm really pleased with it.

Thats a very practical looking bag, but unlike Dave, I'm not secure enough in my masculinity to dare carrying it round these parts :D

I have a mate who works in London who thinks nothing of carrying his "manbag" down there but would never dream of taking it out the house back up in his home town.  Funny old world  :ahhh

I'm not taking any more mod orders at present, sorry.

ive been draggin this kit around in backpack or belt very much lately, and its quite good quality and still very affordable.

it has energy bar, some notebook in waterproof bag, space pen, mini prybar, paratool, firesteel, diamond sharpener, small light, etc.not too much, but enough to almost any ED task.
