New Years resolutions
on: December 26, 2015, 02:12:47 AM
So what's everyone going to do differently in the new year? I'll start this time and let's all try not blame Kirky this year.

For one I'm going to stop being so negative and look toward the better things. I've spent most of my life doing this. I probably need meds for this but it has to start with me! So in the spirit of that lets start this year with a bang and do it right! Cheers my friends and thanks to all the love and support I receive from here. It has NOT gone unnoticed
If I remember correctly, wait, what was I saying?

Same as every year - plan to eat better and exercise more. Figure they'll last 'til about January 12th.

Cool thread :tu: :D

I'll:

- try to live on a budget and save as much as I can
- of course eat more healthily and cut down on sugar (I've had some success with this in the past few months)
- try to stop falling in everyoen's "gilt-tripping traps" and realize I'm not responsible for other people's crap

Not yet!! I ordered a new band for my DIY setup, but there's no squirrels at the new house.

I wonder how crazy I'd look walking around the neighborhood with a Surge and a slingshot lol

I'm going with the stereotypical things, but I am very serious this year. I am going to quit smoking as well as eat much healthier. Doing both simultaneously will suck, but i'm a all or nothing kind of guy so LETS DO THIS!  :D

EDIT: I am also going back to only drinking water, orange juice, and milk. The occasional whiskey or bear is the only exception. No juice, soda, or anything with sugar really.

I should add that to mine. I quit for awhile earlier this year. It's time to do it again and stay that way.

Start eating breakfast at home. For 10 years I have been stopping and picking up breakfast and eating it on the commute to work.

Wish me luck!!

I tried those. Not that great IMO. What did help was a vape shop. And believe it not its cheaper than store bought e-cigs

Last year's resolution was to lose some weight, for all kinds of reasons. 1/1/15, just over 300. The past week, daily weighing has been 257 +/-. The declared "unreachable" goal was 250.

This coming year's resolutions. Blood sugar management, and start hitting the weights again for the first time in almost 20 years. And if I can find one in my budget, back in a dojo, along with more range time.

Oh, yeah, good some of you reminded me. I may try getting back in a bit of a shape ... Back in 2010-11 I was able to do 40 push-ups at once (keep in mind I'm a girl, lol) which was my biggest achievement ever. Then at some point I started getting wrist-ache even at the slightest strain like pulling up/down my sleeves, so I stopped all push-up activities whatsoever. I may slowly try reaching that level again, starting from 10 and working my way up, although I have no clue what to do when my wrists start hurting again :/

Yeah, I've heard about these, but never tried them. However, I'm not sure it's the "angle" that causes the pain, it's probably the "weight"
