Those are some great pics :like: You can go to the Mod Squad forum or here for your tear down threads :tu: Either way, good luck with the restoration and/or mods

Always love to see that mod, pieter :like:

Got the pictures,
here it is with the tools open facing the front:
(Image removed from quote.)

Here is the back side:
(Image removed from quote.)

This is some of the surface rust on the tools and some odd damage to the can/bottle opener:
(Image removed from quote.)
(Image removed from quote.)

Here is the snapped off blade, I might keep it that way and see if it can be taken through the TSA:
(Image removed from quote.)

Here is a picture with just the pliers open, the pliers overall are in really good shape, the cutters aren't damaged, and can cut a zip tie well.
(Image removed from quote.)

and here is a picture with all the tools closed:
(Image removed from quote.)

So the plans for this tool include taking it apart and cleaning it out so the tools can be opened easier, I ordered the Loki-mobile wrenches so I don't have to mess up the fasteners, it's past its 25-year warranty anyways.
Might even try some mods. I don't know.
Do people start to build threads on their Leathermans here or is that just a car forum thing?
Anyway hope you enjoyed the pictures.

It surely had a busy life  :like:
Yeah, I wonder what caused this missing parts of the opener and big flat head. Any acid maybe?

A SOG knife blade might be working too as replacement for the original?

There are parts available on ebay but they are pricey. I would use that one as a parts tool and look for one in better shape.

Here are some that are $40 or less

WOW, this is such a great community!
thanks for all the tips, definitely bookmarking this page.
and thanks for the links steve, might try to pick up a more fancy unit like the Juniors Tools or the West Marine Tech 6 one, I like it when they have a story.
over break, I will post my other Leathermans in their respective forums and will update if I get any new PST arrivals.

For some reason today I felt like carrying my PST II (ish).  Finally got around to tightening up the plier head pivot bolts.  They'd become loose enough that they were decidedly floppy.

In some respects, especially the crucial metric of utility to weight, the PST still leads the pack some 38 years after its introduction.

My 3rd new for me PST-II. I think I’ve used it more in one day (armchair) than the previous owner did in 20 years.

I now have two ‘like new’ examples and a working tool that gets regular rotation. These, together with my 3 regular models, make the PST the most popular LM in my humble collection.

Looks good and love that vintage sheath as well.
