It came from a Chinese MT. I have 3 clips that are identical or highly similar that I harvested from a couple of cheap Mossy Oaks from Walmart and a Wetools MT from Amazon.

Nice pics, Adam and Hood!

Adam, what pocket clip is that?

I forgot that one of the clips came from an Ozark Trail 15-in-1. That MT is great for 3 reasons if you are into modding:

1) Useable clip
2) Scissors are the same as or highly similar to the Multiforce scissors, which are better that the Wave's scissors in my opinion
3) Costs $14 at Walmart

Thanks!  Did you have to make any adjustments to the PST, or did you just put it under the screw/post/whatever-it's-called?

On the PST2 (got in a GAW from one of the incredible members of this magnificent forum), the stamp says, I think : 0797 on one side and 1097 on the other.
I'm new to the PST world, so help me out. This means one side of my tool is older than the other ? I'll have to be careful to treat it better, then. :D

Seriously, I got my first MT only 5 years ago. If I had gotten a PST in 1997, I probably would still be wearing it 25 years later, and other leatherman's would have seemed less attractive.

It is quite common for them to have different dates  yes the one is from July 1997 and the other from October 1997 :D Love to hear you are so happy with the PST II  :woohoo: And kudos to Aloha for making it possible  :hatsoff: :like:

Swapped out the broken file for a SOG saw, (kindly supplied by gregozedobe :hatsoff: :tu: ), sharpened the broken small driver into an awl and fixed the scissors which were all gummed up

A good clean and oil later and this PST II picked up very cheaply is ready for action in next month’s challenge

Awesome that you have the one you went to war with as well :o Thank you for your service :salute:

I didn't carry the pst after the war. but i got a micra for my keychain so i always had one in my pocket. After I bought 2 OG waves for my cars I gave the PST to my dad, and he had it until he died a couple of years ago and the PST made it's way back to me.
The PST II i was just surfing craigslist the end of july for leatherman's and came across that PST II with the bit adapter in FL, the guy agreed to paypal and shipped it quick. I did see somewhere east on craigslist the bit adapter and bits new in a box for $10 around the same time.
I caught another deal for a Juice CS4 in perfect shape. Just like the PST II it was in just out of the box shape for $15 as well. I missed a charge + for $30 and a Wave + for about the same.

Yes, very nice !
If they were usually available at $15, I'd have many, many PSTs coming my way…  :D
I see a few PST/PST II out there on craigslist for not much, you just have to go countrywide and you have to convince them to take paypal. The Juice i bought, the guy had never used paypal so i had to convince him to sign up and figure out how to get the money to his bank account. but it worked out.

if you are near mlps there is a st300 for $40 and a rebar for $20

Yes, but I'm near Marseilles, France…  :D I know you're just sharing your finds with the community, but it doesn't work for non-US.
Even on the US Bay –when it's feasible, which is rare— international fare usually is another $30-35 at least. That means a $30 25-year old PST gets to be way more expensive than a new Bond. Not to mention an (un)fair amount of such purchases end up in someone else's pocket, or in Katmandu.
However, I'm so happy with my PST2 right now, the normal urges to look up used leatherman's has faded. :multi:

Of course, if a Mini ever showed up at a decent price one day (dream on !), I would probably have to amend that (me and a million others).   :D
