I thought by now it would  be a stringless instrument

Kids here in SoCal were obsessed with the Uke.  I saw plenty of kids carrying them around and there'd be jam session in random places.

During WWII the British cruiser HMS Sheffield encountered such bad weather off Iceland that it punched in the side of the forward turret and tore off a third of the roof armor.

If you are into gardening you could start ordering seeds from the catalogues.....or finish that business plan for your marijuana farm.

That is my dream job. I enjoy gardening and I wouldn't be sampling my goods.

Maybe the occasional for quality control.

'Mad Jack' Mytton was a Regency sportsman and wastrel (that's probably redundant). He once rode a bear into a dining room, but got a bit ambitious with the spurs. The bear returned the favor and proceeded to chew up Mytton pretty thoroughly.

(What would we do without English eccentrics)

There once was a man called Mad Jack
Who rode a wild bear on the back
He poked with his spur
Right through the bear fur
And was turned into a snack

Nice!  However I think it needs another syllable in the last line to scan properly.

'And was turned into a bear snack'

If I'm to be honest, I think I may have enjoyed that show more than Firefly.  I remember waiting for each episode to come out to see what was going to happen to the Wild Cards.  And, even though he was only in one episode I really enjoyed Ray Butts.

Easy as eating pancakes.

Sadly I burned it out and it won't even mark paper anymore.

Guess I'll have to invest in a better one.
