Didn´t Def tell us about his new laser engraver? I think while sitting on his bum, he should prectice engraving and send out samples to members...  :pok:

I do wish you a speedy recovery, Boss!

Sadly I burned it out and it won't even mark paper anymore.

Guess I'll have to invest in a better one.

Def

we had one! and did some research on them (probably out of date now  ) but we learned a few things and "might" know how to repair them or get parts or what to look for to fix, give me a pm if you want boss and I'll do my best :salute:

Thanks.  The laser unit itself is burnt out and relatively easily replaced.

Unfortunately the armature is also non responsive too so even if it would burn it will just burn in one spot.

we read you cannot burn certain types of materials especially certain types of plastic (like PVC) which can either make toxic fumes to you or coat/mess up the lens preventing the beam to focus. the armature not moving is either software or a hardware electronics problem (Professor Snap "Obviously").

this looks like it could be fun on a smaller scale, obviously not crashing might be a good idea given your limited mobility:

Ummm... I almost got motion(drone?) sickness watching that.
Insanely fast reflexes! I even started to wonder if the video was speeded up.
I need to practice more...

I'm doing well so far- the cast comes off Tuesday, hopefully for the last time.

I still won't be walking for at least another month (officially  ;) ) and I'll be visiting the physiotherapist a few times a week for the foreseeable future, but at least I'm getting there.
