So, having gotten a new laptop, windows 10, I am giving Edge browser a try.

However, when I click on a smiley  (I can see them fine), to insert it, it does not do it.. Any ideas

Also, edge does not support Java apparently

If that doesn't work wipe the hard drive... Reinstall everything :)

seems MS is doing it's usual bang up job of supporting W3 standards...

I suggest installing Chrome or Firefox... or even browse the forum with ie11 instead of edge.

I usually surf on the tablet and chrome but i want to give edge a chance, given the effort that went in it.

I understand. However I'm simply pointing out that it appears to be a wider issue and if they haven't addressed it at SMF HQ, I'm not going to dig into it further at this point.

I'm on chrome pretty much everywhere now... and loving that I can share history between my devices (very useful when something isn't that mobile/tablet friendly or I just want to see it on a larger screen...)
