What's your favorite SAK tool? For me it's the saw.

I might be in the minority. But my favorite SAK tool is actually the Small Pen Blade.

Why?

The big blade is for food prep and that´s it.

The small blade gives me so much of options. It is a very thin sheet of steel that can be sharpened like a real razorblade and some light maintaining on a leather strop gives back its edge after use. it is a short blade for precise cuts. A real working blade, IMO. Sharp and good to control! What should I want more? Opening packages or cuting string, tape or whatsoever. I always use the pen blade as my working blade.

It should be on every SAK. On the 93 mm series, it is ok not to have, but I always have a Rally, Classic or something like that in the backup for the workingman´s jobs.

I´ve also tried several alternative tools as working blades like an extra sharp awl... but the pen blade is not beat in its section.

BTW: I also count the sheepfoot of the Electrician as a small working blade - just a wonderful straight edged blade.

Its tough to choose one, but I would say the small blade or the pliers. Maybe the inline awl.  Dang, I can't decide.

Probably the inline phillips, although the inline awl and newer metal saw/file are excellent choices too.

I like all the tools on my Climber, Pioneer and Farmer, but I'm going to say the can opener; I actually use it a lot.
Water, water, every where,
 And all the boards did shrink;
 Water, water, every where,
 Nor any drop to drink.

The small blade is the tool I use the most. Humppa may be correct that he'w in a minority, but it seems it's at least two more members of the aforementioned minority.  :D

Small blade for me too. Definitely my go-to knife for most utility tasks.

Hmmm...

93mm awl; 58mm combo tool; 91mm scissors...

Don't really have a duff tool, although the Wenger 85mm spanner; magnifying glass from both brands; 91mm LED come closest
There is no beginning,or ending, and for this we are thankful, cos now is hard enough to understand!

I prefer the metal saw.  A friend of mine parked his car one evening and when he returned to his car, the lot was closed with a chain across the driveway. He used the metal saw in his SAK to cut the chain.

Saw, awl, scissors, backside Phillips driver, metal saw/file, and hook on the 91mms I have.

Awl and the early, thick cap lifter with the wire scraper along the inside on 93mm knives (I have a 1993 Soldier which was one of the last to have the thick cap lifter)

Combo tool (best saw on any Victorinox!), blade (big, but doesn't lock), and the longer back side tools on 108mm.  The GAK is one of my favorite SAKs in my collection as a result.

I like the 111mm One Hand Opening Blade the most on the 111mm knives.  The liner lock is opposite most others, meaning I can open and close it one hand (I'm left handed).  Wood saw is the longest, meaning it can cut thicker branches.

Combo tool (small Phillips and cap lifter), retractable pen, wharncliffe blade and cut/picker blade on 58mm.

Scissors on all Wengers.  My favorite Wenger tools are the eyeglass screwdriver and awl on their 65mm knives.

To say the least--darn near everything.   I even use the despised corkscrew for undoing knots!

While I use the blade and scissors the most, the Vic can opener is a surprisingly useful tool.  It's the thing I miss when carrying a Wenger or my Compact.

Another vote for the pen blade. When I carry my Farmer or Pioneer the awl will do almost anything the pen blade can do.

Caplifter. It allows access to my beer... ;)

Have to agree with this ^^^

Plus it sees a fair bit of light prying and the occasional flat head screw and it's quite iconic :tu:

It comes down to cap lifter or Philips driver for most used/loved.

58mm combotool = Caplifter and Philips driver in one.
91mm 93mm - Caplifter or combotool for all the beer reasons.  Inline Philips too.
111mm locking prybar/Caplifter or long inline Philips

Main blade; then scissors.

The other tools see a lot less use. The can opener and bottle opener maybe only a couple of times a year. However when the need arises I'm the only one with the appropriate tool on hand.   :D

Philips and scissors are great... so is the toothpick...

Darn.. the Caplifter is my choice: it opens bottles, bends wire, screws screws and is a pretty good prybar... Biggest loss on my Compact...

My favorite caplifter is the locking one on the 111mm SAK. Those make a very strong prybar!

I´m actually surprised how many folks in here prefer the pen blade as their favorite blade ... at least one of the most used ones.

I thought I would be the only one...

I find it ironic that the two tools I laughed at when I first layed my hands on a Victorinox SAK were the small blade and the can opener. Along with the scissors and in-line awl those are my favourite SAK tools :)
