Squirt E4.
on: July 18, 2016, 07:26:54 PM
I rarely go to Home Hardware simply because whenever they have a sale item in their flier, they never have any in stock. This gives me a great aversion to Home Hardware as I detest wasting my time in pursuit of nonexistent inventory. Thus I do not frequent the establishment. I go in maybe once a year or so.

Well, I decided to give this business a quick visit on a lark. The last time I was in there, they had several generic multi-tools that I didn't have...which was a surprise, but then, I quickly realized they weren't on sale. Home Hardware = unobtainium sales items.

I digress, on my latest yearly visit, I found another item which I presume was buried back in the stock room. Newly discovered, or is that yearly discovered as it wasn't present on my last visit. Either way, I was surprised once again to come face to face with a Squirt E4 in red. Go figure, the tool has been discontinued going on 6 years now, and lo and behold, I find one in a store I rarely visit.

I had to buy it, as I figured fate was strongly playing it's hand.

Yes, I paid 22 Canadian for it. I had to give this poor lost fellow a good home.

Nice find.
I'm torn between E4 and ES4. I have a P4 and S4, so I'll probably go for an E4.

Looking closely, I didn't know the bottle opener was different on the E4. It looks nice. Not a fan of the tweezers in there, though.

Very nice find  :tu:

What's the difference between the old E4 and the new Es4?  Just the tweezers on the E4?

The "s" series include scissors.

Ah ok. The scissors are very small but ok for finger nails, paracord etc but nothing stronger. The scissors on my Es4 are fine, but the ones on my Ps4 have a lot of play and don't cut very well as a result. I keep meaning to find my small punches and give the pivot pin a tap or two to tighten it up.
