Collection Photos 2016.
on: December 27, 2016, 01:09:37 PM
Seeing that the new year is just around the corner, I thought it was high time I posted another peek at my collection. Please join me on a drawer by drawer tour of the majority of my collection. I have 3 units full of stuff.

Top of the first unit. A catch all for larger packaged items, mixed in with smaller items.

3 smaller drawers. The left is my Buck Tool collection drawer. The middle is a deeper drawer with multi-tools in their sheaths. The right drawer contains most of my Schrade items along with some other tools.

This little drawer contains most of my generic Chinese shaped multi-tools.

A drawer for some of those generic pocket sized multi-tools.

This drawer holds most of my locking plyers multi-tools along with a few CRKT items.

In this drawer, most of my Swiss+Tech items along with a few other tools.

Here resides most of the SOG collection.

This drawer is dedicated to those wacky Chinese multi-tools.

The Multitasker collection drawer.

Two drawers here. The left contains the Bear & Son collection. The right drawer contains a hodge podge of multi-tools and MT.O related memorabilia.

Two more drawers. The left is part of the Victorinox collection. The right drawer contains a mix of items.

The first of the Gerber collection drawers.

The second Gerber collection drawer.

The third Gerber collection drawer.

The forth Gerber collection drawer dedicated to Bear Grylls branded stuff.

A deep drawer with a variety of Gerber, Camillus, and other odds and ends.

This deep drawer contains a mix of items, but mostly the Real Avid gear along with all my Schrade Navi Tools.

This very deep drawer contains all of my older sheaths, that is until I got smart and kept them with their boxes for storage.

Now moving onto the second unit, this top drawer contains a variety of multi-tool items.

This 3 drawer spread contains the majority of my card based multi-tool on the left, the deeper middle drawer harbours many Swiss Army Knife items, and the right most drawer contains various items.

This small drawer contains more odds and ends.

This small drawer contains a few Al Mars, spyderco, and other business related multi-tools.

Here lays the Re-Solve collection, along with a few other items.

More generic multi-tool and related utility knives.

First of the Wenger collection drawers.

Second Wenger collection drawer.

This deep drawer contains a few interesting items, such as the Wenger United Woods box set, along with a very large Victorinox presentation knife, various small micro knives, an HMS Victory wood scaled Victorinox Classic, along with a few more odds and ends such as those Wenger knives in their presentation boxes.

Two drawers here. The left one is part of my survival gear collection. The one on the right is my very small knife collection drawer.

Two more drawers shown here. The left is part of the survival gear collection. The right drawer contains some Swiss Army military unit knives along with related regalia.

The first of the Victorinox collection drawers.

The second Victorinox collection drawer.

Third drawer full of Victorinox knives.

The forth Victorinox collection drawer.

This is the first of two deep SAK drawers. These drawers contain many of the special collector stuff...or items I didn't want to separate from their packaging.

The second special SAK storage drawer.

This deep drawer contains most of the Victorinox kits along with some books, and other odds and ends.

Now onto the third storage unit.

This drawer contains a variety of multi-tools.

This drawer contains a wide variety of items.

First of two utility knife collection drawers.

The second utility knife collection drawer.

This deeper drawer contains a few Leatherman boxed tools along with an Olympic Victorinox knife set.

Leatherman collection items (mostly).

More Leatherman boxed tools/sets.

A real mix of multi-tool/survival tool/whatever in this deeper drawer.

The first of many Leatherman collection drawers.

This drawer contains the pocket sized Leathermans.

Another Leatherman collection drawer.

Yet another Leatherman collection drawer.

This drawer harbours most of the Leatherman Charges.

Another Leatherman collection drawer.

The Leatherman collection keeps on going.

This drawer contains all of the Leatherman pocket multi-tools or single piece multi-tools.

This drawer contains a good variety of single piece multi-tools, or other like minded small multi-tools.

Another drawer similar to the one mentioned above.

Another similar drawer as those above.

And that concludes this years cursory tour of my collection.  :salute:

Is that a Topeak Bike tool (Alien XS???) for MacGyver at the bottom right ... with the wrong color logo AND McGuyver strangely spelled?

Not exactly. That is Topeak's entry into a survival focused multi-tool as opposed to their more traditional bike tools. There were a few different versions. Another version is the one just above the boxed example that you can only view edge wise (right of the red butterfly multi-tool). Another boxed but different McGuyver is found just left of the one visible...but with other tools stored on top of the packaging (You can see the still packaged example just south of the yellow DeWALT tool).

EDIT: Thanks.  :salute:

Is one of them unboxed, so you could take some close ups? I'm a massive Topeak fan, never heard of those :salute:

Chako, I always enjoy taking a pictorial tour through through your wonderful collection, so a big THANK YOU !!

But, (and you knew this was coming, didn't you ?) it has aroused my curiosity about the tool in the bottom left hand corner of "The Multitasker collection drawer" - can you please tell me more about it when you get a chance (you seem to be already snowed under with requests for more info and pics on other drawers, so I'm happy to wait my turn).

Do you mean this tool in the Multitasker drawer?

Not much to know other than it is a generic tool that came from the owner of Multitasker.  In fact, all the tools found in that drawer came from the same source. I can only imagine these were tools bought to either examine, or get some ideas for the main product somehow. Many of these came with little stickers with a number on them.

Or are you talking about this tool...

What...wowaboro...you don't like 800x600 photos?

Here is the inside of the United Woods Wenger set.

Can't say that I have Smashie. I did buy a few more that haven't been added to the drawer collection yet.

Here you go Etherealicer.

These tools I believe have all been discontinued.

I only have half of the original McGuyver tool. I am missing the Allen wrench set half of this tool.

This is the Topeak McGuyver XT.

This is the Topeak McGuyver XS.

The only difference as far as I can tell between the XT and XS are handle materials. Bot the XT and XS are smaller than the original McGuyver tool. Hope that helps.  :salute:

That's the one, thank you.  I thought it looked a bit like a Coleman Pro-Lock copy or something, and it was an "or something".     :tu:

I have in the past, tried out a great many tools, but I eventually figured out what my preferences ran to. Hence most of those aren't used all that much. If I plan on using something, I tend to get a second user and leave one in the collection in as good a shape as I can.
