What is your favorite Charge model?

I was just wondering, what is your favorite Charge model? And why?

For me, it would have to be the TTi. I like having titanium handles, a gut hook, and scissors. The S30v straight blade is a nice addition as well.. I have a ton of Charge tools now and I want to put a serrated blade w/ gut hook on an AL! Then I would have an ALi or something! I modified my Wave with a 154CM blade and a serrated blade with gut hook as well.. And I have to say, I have been carrying it a lot lately!

Of those, I always EDC my TTi, as I might as well have the S30V and I do occasionally use the gut-hook for opening boxes. I'm sure I'd manage perfectly well with a Ti or AL if I had to though!

Let's face it - they are all bloody good MTs aren't they? That's why I have 5 and will continue to buy any variations I can find

Might draw the line at those Adrian Palarols models though.......

Charge Ti for me. Al would be a close second. I just can't get excited about the "crimper" tool, it comprimises the pliers a bit too much IMO.

(3 Standard TTi's, 2 Cabelas TTi, 1 Bass Pro Shops TTi, 1 Bass Pro Shops XTi, 1 Cabelas XTi, 1 Cabelas Ti, 2 Ti's, 2 XTi's (1 BO), 1 AL, 1 SLV, and two ALX's (1 BO).  So, I am at 17. Mind you, three of them are not currently with me.. I have the TTi coming Monday, the Cabelas TTi on Tuesday, and the BO XTi in a few weeks or so.. I am a sick freak! Haha

I still want MORE too!

3 x ALX

1 x SLV

I'm trading one of the ALXs and one of the XTis is pretty beat up. I'd quite like to get a couple more camo Charges, but no real urgency, I can wait for a good deal.

The Charge (in any configuration really) remains my favourite MT made by anyone, the ones with scissors are pretty well perfect for what I consider a multi should give you. The ever persistent bad press around these things in the UK however mean that I'm less and less comfortable about EDC'ing a Charge, which is a shame.

+1 on that DaveK for me too. My favorite Charge is the Ti. It was the first one I got and still my favorite. It's really a shame that you can't carry yours without fear of getting in trouble. It sucks when you can't fully enjoy your hobby.

LM123 - I've done a decent clean up job on it, but there's a little damage to the wire cutters which means that the pliers close a little more than they should. That means that if you squeeze them too hard there's more pressure at the plier tips than there really should be. I've refurbed all the other bits, but I haven't figured out a way of adding metal back on (yet). I'm probably going to hang on to it until I get a worthy replacement though, as the other one I have is the Cabela's Seclusion model - one of my most protected draw queens! If I remember I'll post up some pics tomorrow just for curiosity's sake.

Dennis I did not know you had a cache of Ti's "available"  . Don't worry about the misses the Switchplier & Core + Knife+ bit extension & bits which I bought to give myself as birthday presents , I will get some money (I accept Aussie $ for US $ so I am subsidising the purchase some what ) for the gifts I bought myself  so I might have enough for a Ti  . It is funny I always thought it was only wives that bought birthday presents for themselves . PM about to rocket into you Dennis.

I like the TTi. But its the only one I have any experience with. I`m sure the other are fine tools also.
