My precious has just arrived. Thanks Mr postman!

Should be another one coming later with a different delivery company. Two Damascii in one day. Nice!

The 2010 Damast Pioneer was originally selling for $125USD. What I found disappointing about it was not the price, (it was selling a bit higher than the 50 limited ed. alox) but the fact that it wasn't numbered. Something Vic took into account the following year w/the 2011 Damast ebony Climber altho they diminished its value by flooding the market w/4000 as they did w/the Elsener Explorer(7000!!!).

The stainless Damascus has 60 HRC, the standard Victorinox steel only 56 HRC. Why should someone produce knifes with better steel if they are not intended to be used? The Damascus is a user!   :D

I can't believe North America only gets a shipment of 365 to start? Europe must be swimming in them.  :D Love this knife though. Anyone still on the fence, looks like DLT still has a few left states side.

I don't understand why the U.S gets such a small allocation. I've been told the UK allocation was 1,500pcs.

It is everything I could have expected and more! Feels like a bargain for the price. I urge you guys to scoop one up while you can. The grey scales look great, the blade is awesome. I wasn't expecting it but it looks awesome closed too with the pattern welding visible on the blade spine (duh). The Alox snap on a new knife still gets me, so tight. It is so nice I am carrying it every day (office type use, nothing too abusive).

The bar was set pretty high this year. Next year's Damascus has a lot to live up to...

The one in the middle is a slightly darker shade. But scales match.  :tu:

It's the whole thing really. The new design with scissors. I'm also a big fan of this dark grey color and matching cross, i can appreciate the random design of the Damascus and it is just aesthetically pleasing to the eye as a whole really.

I'm a fan.

This thread made me do a quick search to see if any are still available for sale, alas not that I can find for a realistic price.

I did, however find this, which was an interesting read

What's a realistic price? For reasons.

I don't know. The only one I saw was $700+, which is way too much for me.
