http://www.mirror.co.uk/tv/tv-news/how-stiletto-heels-became-most-7603924

I assume, soon, there will be a ban on stiletto heels in public places, airplanes etc.....

"The pointed, spike-heeled shoes have been linked to nearly 150 violent crimes across Britain since 2003.

Many of the attacks resulted in appalling injuries.

The figures came from data provided by 21 police forces.

But experts say the numbers could double if the other 23 forces in the UK also provided information.

Police forces across the UK are dealing with incidents on a weekly basis, with a total of 147 reported"

Actually, high heels are already banned in different places for different reasons;

In the Epidaurus Theatre they're not allowed (as well as chewing gums) because they are deemed detrimental for the ancient stones it's made of. http://greekfestival.gr/en/venues/view/ancient-theatre-of-epidaurus

In Italy, https://www.rt.com/news/319890-italy-shoes-heels-ban/ An Italian college in the seismically active southern region of Abruzzo has decided that high heels are no longer safe to wear in the area, demanding that its students and staff to switch to more comfortable, plainer and flatter variants.

I believe high heels were also banned in some Italian municipality on the grounds of indecency but I can't find a link.

Reportedly, in last year's Cannes film festival http://www.theguardian.com/film/2015/may/19/cannes-backlash-high-heels-emily-blunt-flat-shoes women NOT wearing high heels weren't allowed to enter.

It's like last time I went to England I saw piles of (I assume deactivate) machine guns and a sidewinder missile but i didn't buy because I figured a sidewinder would be difficult to get through security.

Egypt Air's Hijacker's ex-wife

http://www.philenews.com/el-gr/top-stories/885/306311/i-dramatiki-exomologisi-tis-marinas-tis-oroklinis

It is in Greek, currently, but she does describe him as a violent killer, trained, drug addicted sponger, who never showed any interest in their children previously, far from the love story being pushed by the media.

A state of emergency has been declared after 11 people in an aboriginal community tried to kill themselves in one night.

Crisis response teams were called to the remote northern community of the Attawapiskat First Nation in Ontario, Canada, after the suicide attempt on Saturday.

It comes after 28 people tried to kill themselves in the 2,000-strong community last month.
