A good set. :salute: :like:
You seem to have most usage scenarios covered.  :D :tu:
What about the Nitecore P12?
Do you have a whole collection of 18650 lights that you haven’t said anything about yet?

My list is rather shorter.
Thrunite Ti3 xp-g2 NW that I edc.
Manker E03H Nichia 219c that I am also edc’ing.
Cheap Chinese AA zoomie that I rarely use.

It’s also a nice set  :tu:

Yes I also have two 18650:
Nitecore P 12 (GT version)
Nitecore MH20 (GT version)

 :D

The Manker E02 looks pretty well designed, with super nice heatsinking.  :tu:

I hope that the E03 is the same, just larger. After all, it shares the same bezel, lens, reflector, switch.
Hooked, like everyone else. ;)

To give the OP some advice about the Fenix E12, though I’ve never seen or held one, the high mode is not quite high enough, and it’s missing a firefly/moonlight mode.  :)

they had P12 deal back around thanksgiving, bit more money now, but you can get Covoy S2+ for under $10 and dip your foot in the water.

Oh, you’re soo ready for 18650 Pabs...

Forgot where I read it, but for survival situations, ideally should have at least an 18650 light and an AA/14500 light... 18650’s gives you more light... and should you run low or run out of juice, there’s always the AA/14500 as backup. Especially AA’s being the more common sized ones (at least in my part of the woods)...

AAA’s are more pocket friendly for urban EDC...

I did some rough maths on my calculator.
The E03H has 21 possible moonlight modes, which can be programmed with "engineering mode".
Assuming that the highest (21st) moonlight setting is 1.5 lumens, and that each setting is 75% brighter than the previous one, then the lowest should be about 0.004 lumens.  :ahhh
Given the uncertainty involved, give or take a few thousandths of a lumen.  ::)
All I can tell you with certainty is on the lowest setting, I can just about tell that the LED is on by looking at it, that it is definitely on, and that it provides no noticeable illumination at awl, even on super close-up objects, and that the 0.02 lumen mode on my Ti3 (value measured by selfbuilt) is a blazing amount of light by comparison.
Hooked, like everyone else. ;)

All hail the hook!

Have you tried any of those Low Lows at night with dark adjusted eyes yet though?

It can be surprising how useful they can be once you are used to the dark!

I’m a low low mode junky, but some of these go too low for me.  :D

Points of reference:

Step 15, give or take a step, is about the same brightness as the firefly on a Ti3, which is 0.04 lumen according to Thrunite, and 0.02 lumen according to Selfbuilt.

Step 18, maybe 17, is about the same as the TH20, which is 0.3 lumens according to Thrunite.

Now, on step one and not wearing glasses (I’m nearsighted to a significant degree) I can see the picture on the cover of a book, but as far as colours go, I can’t really tell them apart, besides “that’s black” “that’s white” “light colour” “dark colour” “in between”.
I can light up a paragraph of white on black text, but it’s not really comfortable.
Black on white text? Even less comfortable.
The book is about a hands length away from my eyes, it’s important to note.

I have to go awl the way to step 14 to read this book comfortably.

Because of the slight awkwardness involved in changing the moonlight setting, I think that I’ll leave it somewhere in the mid teen steps most of the time, even if I can get by with less light for some tasks. The lowest steps that I’ll probably ever realistically use is likely the high single digits.

More to come in the future, it gets dark every night after all.
Hooked, like everyone else. ;)

All hail the hook!

Just started a moonlight runtime test on my E03.
Standard capacity eneloop, voltage 1.384 volts.
Manker claims 175h at 0.1 lumens with a high capacity eneloop. I think that I have mine set to higher than 0.1 lumens.
Will stay on for about 10 hours a day.

61 hours on, battery at 1.301 volts. The way the battery voltage is going down so slowly is getting scary.  :ahhh
