rishardh's March Blast challenge thread
on: February 28, 2016, 08:35:53 PM

Since everyone is doing it I am starting my thread a few days early too :)  Finally decided on the Camo Blast for this challenge because that get's used the least and this will be a good opportunity to show it off.

Day 2: With a kid and work it's getting harder to find time for some of my my extra curricular activities. Scuba is one of them and some my gear is going up for sale. New batteries and O-ring for my diving computer. Easy job for the Blast. Love that long 3D phillips  :tu:

Would it be possible to post a pic of the fire piston (with or without the Blast  ;)), I've always been interested in this way of "fire starting", but I have not yet seen one in real life in a shop over here.

Day 5: Assembled a doll house. Did not read the instructions because it looked simple but had to redo a section because I was 2 pillars short. Was quick to blame the manufacturer then my darling wife showed me that I was wrong.... again :bnghd:  What would I do without her  :drink:

Day 6: Punch a hole in a new oil can for a smooth flow when pouring out. Or else the oil unevenly gushes out making it difficult to aim when re-filling smaller bottles. Usually a task for an Awl but the Can Opener works for this too.

I hear you... there are safety codes for almost everything here but you can still not wear a helmet when riding a motorcylce (btw cyclist have to), can text and drive (unless in a school zone), and a few bizarre rules that make you go wow, really! So not surprised we still allow barb wire fences for horses.

Horses here have enough trouble with plain wire... maybe your horses are smarter.

Day 8: Wanted to make char cloth. Had to make a grill to place the tiny tin on the stove first. The Blast could not cut that hard thick wire  :-\  Had to go use my bolt cutter.

Day 8 continued: More prep work to make char cloth. That darn tin would not open and had to use one of the flat drivers to pry it loose. Then there was no awl to punch a hole  :-\  Had to use the can opener instead. Wanted a tiny hole but got a quarter inch slit instead... grrrrrr.
