Beans is a great place to get away. being adopted myself it was hillarious to me when my oldest sister whom is 20 years my senior would look at me and say, hey its midnight we got nothing to do kid and she would load me and my younger sister in the car and we would drive the 3 hrs to Bean just so we would stay out of trouble.

Funny thing about bean is it is the only company in america with its own zip code.

Say, do they still have real outdoor gear these days? The last few Bean catalogs I've received were full of women's sweaters and "stylish" yuppie chamois shirts. Hardly any good stuff.

Yah but they are going the way of the Do Do. Unfortunatly the gear is mostly just in the camping section now. They really scaled down the hunting.

Say, what's anybody bringing along for show-and-tell? One thing that pops to mind I'd like to see first hand is one of those hard-anodized Scibeer Farmer mods. I think Def has one.....

Yah, those hawks would be cool to see first hand! Never handled one before. I've always wondered about making one myself, out of a piece of plate steel. Be neat to see how yours are made.

Freeport Knife is a must for Vic enthusiasts. They don't do 24/7. Opposite end of town from Bean's.

I am planning on bringing a few Vics and Wengers- I guess I'll make sure the various varieties of Rescue Tools and my HAIII Farmer are in the pile. I was also planning to bring the SPAX, both in case of emergency and to show off/play with in the woods. Ditto with the CRKT MAK-1.

Since most of the plier based multis I have are probably going to be overshadowed by the cooler and broader selection of items Joe and Bob have or are bringing, I figure I'll try to stick to what I know best!

Almost there... I need to finish my long day (14 hours at work!) then I am off to Portland to pick up Bob at the airport! If I had any sense I'd have made him fly to Halifax and split the driving as it'll take about ten hours, but it should be worth it!
