Anyone ever used one of these?
I keep thinking I should get one (or more) since they look handy and I can't tie a decent knot to save my life... well, except for a hangman's knot, which seems counter-productive in a life saving situation!

Yeah! I've got four of them.. ( 2 SS and 2 BO) They work very well! I bought them from a local hardware store too!

I picked a couple at an Ace hardware store. Def, I got them for the same reason your thinking about them...I can't tie any good knots. They are great for securing loads but do not use them to climb with. I would look at ordering the ones with the gate so you could cinch an already tied line.

How did you know Mike.
I've used them for securing stuff down on top of the Land Rover. They work well as do the ones with the biners on.

Ever since I crushed my left foot in a climbing accident I don't climb much any more. It's not that I have a fear, it's just that it doesn't work the way it used to!

They're cheap as chups* so there's no harm in having a couple of each size in the glovebox if you're no good at trucker's knots.
