I'm still thinking of some kind of nice storage/display system. Until then, my SAK's are simply lying on a shelf in my study room :)

I keep my stash of unused ones in their box inside a box in my nightstand. My user SAKs are strategically scattered around where I want them.

Nice case, ljnoble :tu:

Looks like a nice secure way to store your knives ljnoble.  How do you neatly cut out the slots in the foam?

This is my SAK storage... as someone predicted at the time, the empty shelf filled up pretty quickly so now I need to add some sort of loft conversion on top of it.

That's a really nice case for them :)

The foam comes pre scored into little squares and then you simply go over it with a knife and they pop out so for the bigger folders 2 squears long and one wide is heaps for them to fit snug

Well... I have a metal store drawer that several people use for items in their offices. It has rather narrow drawers, but a lot of them. So ideal for my little collection. Bought two of it in the past and they are full now.

They are in ziplocs in a cardboard box in my closet.  So high risk of getting thrown out I suppose, I need a better system.

I use a variety of plastic trays. Particularly like the Infinite Divider boxes  from the Container Store, though discount store sometimes carry useful items.

What exactly is the point of that? You cant use (or find) the bottom ones, and its not exactly an ideal method to display them...

Its the 2 bucker approach, he works from the top down in a random fashion.  When he gets home he puts the daily carry in an empty bucket and repeats once he gets to the bottom of the full bucket

For beginners not bad, but a bit small if you have a few more SAKs.
I would prefer something like this:

The S stands for SAKs, what else? :D

Most of NORAD operations have been moved to the nearby Peterson AFB, leaving part of Cheyenne Mountain available. Thought about it but Colorado Springs is a bit too far to drive and the Lear Jet is a bit ostentatious. Instead found some galleries in the old Cariboo Mine just west of here that are working out nicely.

Okay I see there are good ideas for really big SAK Collections  :D
But currently I have enough space in my apartment.  ::)

I store my SAK so:

In cigar boxes:

Self made trays:

showcases:

But I'm not really lucky with these solutions.
I'm looking for a storage system that
combines practical storage and good, clear presentation.

I'm curious how the big collectors, those have
thousands of knives, store their collection.  :pok:
