OH NO!!!!

This has been a terrible night in eastern Iowa. Two house fires, both totally destroyed and also over 4,000 square feet. The largest was nearly 10,000 square feet. Everyone made it out of the large house alive, the smaller one, not too sure about yet.

Storing a axe in a car

Have any of you had trouble with the wood handle of an axe drying up while stored in a car?
I have decided to upgrade the cheapo synthethic handle small axe in my work car with a larger forresters axe. I already have one that I restored and rehandeledfrom a flea market find. But Im worried that storing it in the car, especially during summer months, will dry up the handle causing the head to become loose or the handle breaking.
Has anyone here any experience with this?
