I think this one might have been a display model.  Has a good bit of scale rash for appearing to be NIB and the tools are flawless.   I believe this one would be a mid to late 80's.   Only bad thing about anything shiny and black is it shows off every little scratch.

Thanks Craftsman!   :hatsoff:
That's an awesome idea.  I've got a bunch of those laying around that are going to be repurposed.

Got this one for $20 off ebay listed as a 'survival knife'.  Although the price was awesome, the scales were glued on and the tools were initially stiff as can be and took a lot of cleaning and elbow grease.  Got the tools snappin back shut again.  Not sure if I'm gonna put red or ruby scales back on this one, but it's gonna be one of my EDC's and used in SwissChamp April!

Happy SwissChamp Sunday Everyone

I've been making some soft SAK pouches out of old T shirts this morning for a few 84mm & 91mm SAKs. Can't say I'll ever get a job as a tailor but they will save a bit of pocket rash

Thanks Wim. I find they keep scales from getting dinged badly by change and keys etc but they also keep lint and litter out of the layers. I make then a little long so that they can fold over and fully enclose the SAK.

Thanks Guys. I favour old T-shirts because they're quite soft in texture and an arm or waist seam makes a decent lip to the pouch.

I still don't rate my hand sewing though but who cares I'm happy

It's Sunday. For the first time I have the Swisschamp in my pocket and I'm not in the outdoors.

You guys made me do it.
