Dave are the Ti and AL scales swappable?  I'm guessing yes, what not ?

Oh yeah. You can turn any model of Charge into any other model of Charge really (with the proviso that I haven't seen the 2013 model yet). The handles, scales and component tools are all the same (except the cap-crimper pliers and S30V blade on the TTi) and its only the configuration that defines the model. So there's really no definitive way to know for sure how a tool came about.

You won't be disappointed with it. Now that the shock of it has worn off its started growing on me lol

Seems put together perfectly and has a sweet action on the oho blades.

Thanks for the kind words Steve.  It's always a pleasure to do business with you and I enjoy your pictures of tools.

I'm glad this is figured out. I enjoy this site and would hate to lose being able to come here and discuss multi tools over a few dollars.

Like I said once the shock wears off it will be a very usable tool for someone who doesn't care about it not being a Ti

Such an interesting tool.  You'd have a nice user if you decided to put it to work.  We talked about the 154cm steel on a Wave.  This is pretty much a dressed up Wave or as pittbullz said a upscale Al.

For anyone interested, I shipped the Leatherman tool back to Mike this afternoon. Tracking info was sent to him and it should arrive Monday. Then all that is left is to issue me a refund.

Thanks to everyone who participated in what I thought was going to be a bad situation. Ironically it didn't work out that way and I got a chance to meet some more members so to speak. Aloha and Mike thanks for making this situation an easy one.

I received back the Ti frankentool just a short time ago.

Refunds were just sent.  I refunded the original payment amount in full, then did another refund using F&F to you for the return shipping so two transactions.  Please confirm that you have received both.
