On the radio today, there was an advertisement for an Emergency preparedness Meet-up. I decided to stop, and was glad I did. It was very interesting.
There were plenty of first responders and other similar organizations with displays in the parking lot of the Station Mall. I was interesting in all the military toys the police had to play with. Even the military was present.
However, I got this free car emergency kit at one of the booths. I assumed it was some cheap survival blanket or something like that. When I got home and checked it out, it actually was more than I thought it would be for a free giveaway to the general public.
Not a fan of Bell, but it looks like they sponsored the kit.

Lots of items stuffed inside.

inside the kit, I found the following items:
1 pair of cotton knit gloves.
1 19 piece first aid kit inside a clear zip-locked bag with info card.
1 roadside flare
1 SOS window emergency sign.
1 LED flashlight powered by two AA batteries that are included.
1 tea light with a book of matches.
1 emergency sheet.
1 emergency poncho.
1 survival info card.

Not bad for something they gave away.
