I am a newbie here but have been watching YouTube for a long time

He is currently in the Iron age. They are truly fun and informative videos maybe even for survival

AWE Me: Best forging channel all about how knives and swords and weapons are made including from movies, TV shows and video games
CGP Grey: Great videos on how complex systems work like how corruption is the best tool of keeping power and most famously "Rules for Rulers"
Cody's Lab: Basically the best the best chemist on YouTube who got into trouble many times for showing everyone how to refine Uranium and to create explosive using urine
Extra Credits: One of the best History channels out there with a great style of animation
Kurzgesagt: Explains complicated topics very well and simply with possible the best animations
Neo: Explain various geopolitical projects and events
Nile Red: Another great chemist with high quality videos
Oversimplified: As the name suggests they oversimplify huge topics like WW2 and make it extremely fun to learn
Real Science: Sister Channel of the above mentioned Real Engineering, equally great but relatively new
Side Note: Show lesser known events like the Worlds most expensive Party that led to the death of a 2000 year old line of kings in Iran
The Armchair Historian: Gives some of the most historically accurate information on various events from a non biased standpoint
The Hacksmith: Entertaining group of engineers who make stuff from movies and games real. They famously made a lightsabre and Batman's grappling hook etc

These are most of my favourite channels, I would urge you to try to watch them, all of them put loads of hardwork into each and every videos and they all deserve credit but completely understand if you may not like some of them or even all of them.
