I HAVE to go see this exhibit!

I love Strandbeest and had fun building my miniature version. They have a exhibit in San Francisco until early September. I believe he says it is the only time it will be on the west coast so this is my one and only chance to see it. I used to live much closer to San Francisco, but am pretty far now and with work as well as being broke and me not wanting to take my car on that long of a trip it may be difficult. If all the stars align so to speak I may be able to do it before they are gone. It's a once in a lifetime opportunity so I am really going to try and figure out a way.

My camera is not really working and on its last leg and my phone is not a option. I would have to buy a camera before going which is another obstacle.

Yea the camera thing sucks. Luckily I am going with a family member who has a nice camera. I am going to see if they have a extra camera though so I can get my own pics. Either way pics will be posted.

Unbelievable! I had seen the TED Talk and a few other documentaries, too, it's the first time I'm gonna enjoy the photos and thought o someone who actually seen these "creatures" up close

Ever since watching Adam Savage build one I have wanted to get a kit and try building one for myself. They are such excellent examples of mechanical engineering that I wonder if I would be able to construct one properly.

I hear the Asian kits available in many places are counterfeits, and don't even have English instructions. Apparently the official site is the safest place to actually buy if you want a good product and to support the creator.
